RHONY Scary Island: 3 Day Itinerary for St John US Virgin Islands

Scary Island is one of the most iconic cast trips of all Bravo TV trips. While it is best known for Housewife of NYC Kelly Bensimone’s nervous breakdown on tv, their accommodations are second to none. Ramona Singer plans this vacation and she has a taste for luxury. Ramona plans this St John’s trip as her “bachelorette party” for her vow renewal to Mario. This was a prelude, perhaps, to the stormy seas their relationship would later navigate

Joining Ramona on this escapade were season three cast members Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Alex McCord, and Kelly Bensimon. Kelly leaves after the second day of her bizarre behavior. Adding to the drama was Jill Zarin's unexpected appearance on the final day, which culminates in Ramona's decisive request for her departure.

Despite the cast trip’s moniker, the US Virgin Islands exude breathtaking beauty in reality, offering a serene backdrop for unforgettable experiences with your Bravo TV fan posse. For those seeking to emulate the Scary Island adventure minus the fright, here is your three day RHONY trip itinerary.

DAY 1: YACHT ROCK PARTY

Ramona's surprise itinerary unfolds as the group arrives in St. John, greeted by the revelation of their accommodation: the magnificent Olga yacht. Measuring 121 feet, Olga the mega yacht sleeps eight guests with five spacious cabins. Three decks provide multiple options of indoor living space and outdoor fun equipped with a jacuzzi and barbeque area. Relax on the sun deck with a Swedish-trained masseuse while the chef prepares freshly caught seafood. Ride on Captain Sandy’s favorite water toys. Enjoy everything the boat has to offer for $59,000 a week.

As they board the yacht, Sonja reverts back to her Mrs. Morgan days telling stories about the yacht she used to own. Ramona, of course, disrespects the crew and is extremely needy. Ramona's treatment of the crew must be what inspired “Below Deck” to poke fun at selfish, rich people who lack manners.

While docked at night, Ramona decided to make friends with the yacht next to them who happens to be the owner of Hooters. Ramona tries to flirt with the Hooter’s owner by telling him how “hot” she is for Mario, which is very gross. They end up having Turtle time dancing with the Hooters girls. Who knows what neighbors you could run into while hanging with Olga.

Day 2: Peter Bay Mansion

As Alex McCord puts it, they go from the “lap of luxury” to the “arms of luxury”. Depart from Olga on a Jeep adventure heading to your Peter Bay mansion. This is a very posh, secluded area with celebrity homes. The house that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stayed at during the Scary Island trip is currently up for sale at $32 million. Stay at this mansion next door with similar tropical vibes and stunning 180 degree views of Peter Bay.

Peter Bay villa and pool

There is access to the private beach where Kelly photographs the other housewives. Take turns with your friends taking selfies and practice your best “Johan face”. Enjoy the warm aquamarine Caribbean water and mountain views of St. John. When you are ready, get your daily workout in on your walk back up to your villa. Jump in the pool to cool off and enjoy the best view you’ve ever seen.

Have a private chef prepare dinner for you while you dine outside. Laugh with your friends about the crazy Kelly antics like randomly shouting “Al Sharpton!” This part of the island is quiet and perfect for staying in your villa and making incredible memories with your travel mates. Then enjoy your spacious bedrooms and “GO TO SLEEP!”

Day 3: Spa day without Jill Zarin

After having a fun night, probably with one too many drinks, you’ll want to relax before heading home from paradise. Why leave the comfort of your villa? Check out Vitamin Sea Spa who offers spa services in your vacation villa. They provide massages, manicures, and pedicures. Take some time to decompress after all the laughs you’ve had thinking about this epic recreation of Scary Island. Hopefully you will have realized there is nothing scary about St John, just Kelly Bensimon.
